Statistical Analysis on Occurrences of China’s Cargo Airlines in 2017-2019

A statistical analysis of 951 occurrences of China's cargo airlines in 2017-2019 is proposed. The results demonstrate that the rate of occurrences of China's cargo airlines decreased over the past three years. Machinery faults, weather and flight crew are the main causes of cargo airlines occurrences; The main types of occurrences are bird strikes, system failure/fault/jamming, missed approach/go-around; The flight phases with high rates of occurrences of cargo airlines is approach, en route and the ground stage; the occurrence rate per 10,000 flights reaches the highest in February every year; Aircraft type B747-400 has the highest rate of occurrences. This study facilitates the full understanding of causes and trends of occurrences of air cargo, thereby finding out the key points of safety work, putting forward effective preventive measures to reduce the occurrences and improve the level of safety.
