The Hurricane Minimizer

The emergent behavior of a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is of great importance in solving many problems both man-made and natural that have immense environmental consequences. Hurricanes being one such natural occurrence and the majority are formed in the Atlantic /Pacific Ocean. This Research paper proposes how to minimize the category of a hurricane until it reaches the classification of a storm, then reduce a storm to a tropical depression, or prevent a tropical depression from reaching a storm. The general approach is to monitor with mote and drone technologies the predicted region of the origination of the tropical depression. This project employs the technique of a Wireless Sensor Actuated Networks (WSANs), where dry ice (ammonium hydroxide) will be supplied by submarines, undersea and overhead drones or motes, as a coolant, to the eye of the hurricane to control the temperature inside the centre of the hurricane. When a Tropical depression begins, dry ice would be supplied as an actuated signal to the eye of the hurricane by drone technologies, using cloud seeding techniques. The approach is to incorporate the pneumatic actuator to ensure that a tropical depression does not exceed 39 miles per hour (mph), by using a closed-loop feedback system. In this study we use the python language to provide simulations, to show, how to achieve some of these objectives.
