A Novel Resonant Frequency Estimation Method Based on Recursive Least Squares Algorithm for Linear Compressor

To better optimize the efficiency of the linear compressor, its operating frequency must be controlled equivalent to the system resonant frequency. The traditional resonant frequency tracking control algorithm relies on the steady state characteristics of the drive system, which has the disadvantages of slow convergence speed, low accuracy, and long system response time. In this paper, a resonant frequency estimation control strategy based on the recursive least squares (RLS) method is proposed. Compared with the traditional resonant frequency tracking control strategy, the proposed method can achieve more accurate resonant frequency estimation, and has a faster convergence speed. Consequently, the response speed of the control system can be greatly improved. Comprehensive simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
