Comparative Analysis of Path Control Strategies for Unmanned Quadrotor Aerial Vehicle

Due to highly coupled nonlinear dynamics with underactuated nature, designing controllers for quadrotor is a hard job. This paper presents a comparative analysis of proportional integral derivative, linear quadratic regulator and model predictive controller as path controllers for unmanned quadrotor aircraft. MATLAB/Simulink based simulation studies shows that model predictive control can handle multi-input multi-output system by considering future task references.
