A Dual Band Switchable Digital Phase Shifter for V/UHF Band

This letter presents the development of a 6-bit dual band switchable digital phase shifter band for using in wireless signals of unknown frequency operating at very/ultra-high frequency(V/UHF). The proposed solution is based on a vector modulator design which allows a phase change from 0° to 360°. In order to achieve the purpose of dual band switchable, a segmented vector combination phase shift method is used. An RMS phase error of about 5°, insertion loss around 7dB and amplitude imbalance less than 2dB were measured from 200-800MHz. The board dimensions are 9.2cmX7.6cm.
