A Reconfigurable Metasurface for Dynamic Focusing

A programmable metasurface is presented for 2D dynamic focusing demonstration. The proposed metasurface is composed of reconfigurable unit cells by integrating a voltage-controlled varactor diode to change the unit resonant property. By simply changing the array of biasing-voltage profiles, the arbitrary scanning trace can be realized. The simulated near-field distributions results are presented to show the reconfigurable property of the metasurface.
