Planning of Unbalanced Distribution Network Using Solar Energy Sources under Uncertain Environment

This paper proposes a planning methodology of unbalanced distribution network with solar energy sources. Uncertainty of solar PV panel is modeled by collecting historical data of irradiance value. IEEE 13-bus system is considered in this paper as a reference scenario and OPEN-DSS software is used for load flow analysis. Random placement of solar PV module increases many problems related to power system. And identifying proper location and size of solar PV module in practical system is very difficult. Solar PV module is injected into the bus which has low positive sequence voltage. By injecting solar PV module in unbalance distribution network, the problem which is occurred in the practical power system network is solved. That is line losses are reduced, voltage level is improved and voltage unbalance is reduced.
