A Review: Standard Requirements for Internet of Vehicles (IoV) Safety Applications

The integration between both the Internet of Things (IoTs) and the wireless communication technology had brought the existence of the Internet of Vehicles (IoV), a vehicular networking technology which enables the users to be provided with ubiquitous accessible information despite the ability of vehicles to communicate with various number of devices in the particular network. The Internet of Vehicles (IoV) proffers numerous applications which can be categorized into safety application and user application. However, safety application is of vital and requires heed from both the researchers and vehicular manufacturers since it can affect the risk of the users. Therefore, before developing and implementing any safety application in real-traffic condition, several aspects and standard safety requirements are needed to be considered and will further be discussed in this paper.
