Research on HSR Ring Network Communication Test Method for Local Protection of Smart Substation

As one of the most important technical elements of local protection, the performance of HSR ring network communication directly affects the stability and reliability of smart substation. In order to solve the problem of the lack of effective testing methods for HSR ring network communication during the process of local protection factory commissioning and on-site maintenance, the working mechanism and message format of HSR ring network communication is introduced, the typical failure patterns and message characteristics of HSR ring network communication are analyzed, a test plan based on FPGA + DSP is proposed. Tests show that the method meets the basic requirements of local protection HSR ring network communication test, and effectively improves the local protection operation and maintenance capability.
