Port Performance Indicators: An Exploratory Study in the Moroccan Context

The purpose of this paper is to explore qualitatively the main determinants that measure and influence positively port performance in the Moroccan context. To achieve our objective, we mobilized the results of our systematic literature review previously carried out in an article and where we identified ten determinants of port performance measurement. Subsequently, these determinants were confronted qualitatively within 22 Moroccan port stakeholders. As a result, we were able to confirm the presence of the ten determinants noted previously and add three others, which were deemed critical and necessary according to our respondents. Finally, we were confronted with the prominence of port governance as the main key determinant of port performance. Thus, providing useful insights for further studies.
