Investment Benefit Evaluation Model of New Electric Vehicle Charging Station in Old Town

The rapid growth of electric vehicle(EV) holdings requires more fast charging stations to provide services. It is very important to carry out the expansion planning of charging stations when new charging stations are built in the old urban areas. How to evaluate and analyze the planning benefit of new EV charging stations in the old urban areas becomes a difficult problem. This paper based on the road network topology matrix and EV travel probability matrix, the Dijstra algorithm and Monte Carlo simulation method are used to obtain the spatio-temporal prediction model of EV charging demand. On this basis, the full life cycle investment benefit evaluation model of a single EV charging station in the old city is built, and the time cost of users going to the charging station and the waiting time for receiving the charging service ware taken into account. Taking Xiangzhou District of Zhuhai as an example, the simulation is carried out to simulate the full life cycle investment benefits of new EV charging stations in different sites, so as to obtain the site selection to maximize the investment income of a new EV in the old city.
