Planar Near-Field Diagnosis of the Large-Scale Antenna Arrays Using Particle Swarm Optimization

The Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) method is implemented to diagnose the defective elements in 5G large-scale antenna arrays using the planar near-field data in this paper. The used PSO method has an advantage in the limited signal-to-noise (SNR) scenario compared to the commonly used back propagation near-field diagnosis method. Numerical simulation results are given to validate the priority of the proposed method.
