A 3D Air-to-Ground Channel Model Based on a Street Scenario

It‘s widely used in the communication between the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and the ground terminal. In particular, the air-to-ground channel will be interfered with by various obstacles in the complex and changeable urban environments. To further study the air-to-ground channel in the street scenario, a random model suitable for the city street scene is proposed based on the geometric structure of the section ellipsoid. In this model, assuming that the static scatterers on both sides of the road are uniformly distributed in the building area, the mobile scatterers are uniformly distributed in the roadway area. Then the angles of arrival, time-averaged power delay profile, temporal autocorrelation function, spatial cross-correlation function, Doppler power spectral density and root mean square delay spread of the model are derived and analyzed. Also, by adjusting the channel parameters, the geometry-based random channel model is general enough to be suitable for modeling various UAV communication scenarios.
