Mitigation of Speed Deviation of DC Motor Using Memristic Model Predictive Controller

A memristic model predictive controller (memristic MPC)is designed in this paper for controlling the speed of a DC motor. The objective of the memristic MPC controller is to mitigate the speed deviation of the DC motor with step load change. A DC motor is simulated in MATLAB to validate the effectiveness of the controller. The simulation study is also performed to observe the variation of armature current of the motor for change in load. The behavior of the memristic MPC is also compared with other conventional speed control techniques as well.
