Reliability Analysis of Aircraft Thrust Reverser System Based on Dynamic Fault Tree

For the reliability of the thrust reverser system in aircraft engine, dynamic fault tree is used to model, the modular-thinking analysis method of dynamic fault tree is researched. According to the characteristics of the reverse thrust system, the dynamic characteristic of the component fault of the reverse thrust system is adjusted, and the dynamic fault tree of the thrust reverser system is divided into static subtree and dynamic subtree. The minimum cut set of fault tree and the probability calculation formula of top event occurrence are obtained by using binary decision diagram for static subtree. In order to avoid the problem of “combinatorial explosion” caused by the large Markov chain, a trapezoidal approximation method is proposed to calculate the probability of dynamic logic gates. And then the occurrence probability of the reverse thrust non instruction and the importance degree of events relative to the top of each event are obtained. These calculation results can be used as reference for the airworthiness verification of the thrust reverse system and the maintenance of the airline's thrust reverse system.
