Determination of crystallite parameters of ZnO nanoparticles based on annealing temperature

In this research, ZnO films have been prepared using the blade coating method at room temperature and 100°C annealing temperature. The X-ray Diffraction (XRD) analysis has been performed for the films and analyzed using different methods such as the Scherrer method, W-H method, and Size- Strain Plot (SSP). The result confirms that ZnO nanoparticle is crystallite of a hexagonal wurtzite structure. Compared results of crystallite parameters of the films using different methods confirm that the calculated ZnO nanoparticles crystallite size is slightly lower for the annealed sample compared to the other sample that has not been annealed. Similarly, the strain of the particle is lower as found for the annealed ZnO nanoparticle. The variation in crystallite size, strain, and energy density is found consistent as calculated in various methods. The result clearly indicates that the deviations in various crystallite properties of ZnO nanoparticle are insignificant as an effect of annealing.
