Stable Matching based Parking Lot Allocation for Autonomous Vehicles

Several Match-making algorithms have been developed which addresses scenarios like partner matchmaking, vehicle matchmaking to users etc. However, the parameters taken in such match making varies dependent on the specific use case. So, if one match making algorithm is suited for vehicle to user matchmaking the requirement may suite the algorithm logics regarding the parameter to perform on. Such an algorithm is Stable matching-based algorithm (deferred acceptance) which addresses such scenario. However, in this paper it is being attempted to use the similar Gale-Shapley algorithm to explore whether it is suitable in the case for autonomous vehicles to select parking lots based upon certain preferential parameters which could be unique in this use case. The study also explores the proposer acceptor model for cars and parking lots and observes the theoretical output with such algorithm approaches towards this kind of scenario.
