A novel time cost mechanism in spatial snowdrift game

The factors that affect cooperation have always been the focus of evolutionary game research. This paper studies the effect of time cost in the snowdrift game on a square lattice. For drivers in the snowdrift game, they must consider not only labor costs but also time costs. Two drivers do the common work faster than one. Therefore, when the time cost is too high, individuals will cooperate to avoid the loss of time cost. The simulation results show that the level of cooperation has been significantly improved when the time cost is two times the labor cost.
