Identification of Important Nodes in Power-Information Coupled Network

Advancements in the Chinese smart grid has made the relationship between the power grid and information communication network increasingly important while increasing the general vulnerability of the grid. The coupling characteristics of the dual network should be considered in determining the importance of different network nodes. Traditional network node importance evaluation methods may not fully account for relevance. A network node importance evaluation method considering node centrality was established in this study alongside a dual network coupling model which on account of the topological relationship between the power grid information network. The coupling topology model of the power network and communication network was constructed, followed by the single-layer network node importance evaluation technique. The significance of grid nodes in the coupled network could then be obtained by the basic characteristics of the complex network and the dependency between the networks. The IEEE-30 node system was evaluated as an example to find that the proposed method is reasonable; it accurately reflects node degrees and neighboring-node relationships. Compared with the node contraction method and the Maximum Cascading (Max-Cas) Algorithm, it better distinguishes the node importance in the power communication network.
