Development of Material Grade and Thickness Control System for Abrasive Waterjet Machine

The article deals with the issues of improving the quality of abrasive waterjet machining of metals and alloys using CNC equipment. The development and implementation of automated control system for the grade and thickness of the processed material reduces the number of manufactured products of inadequate quality by staged control of workpiece parameters immediately before abrasive waterjet machining. As a result of the study, a block diagram of an automated control system for material grade and thickness and an algorithm for the operation of the automated control system were proposed, and the constituent elements of this system were selected.
