Introducing Blended Learning in a Community College: How teachers can be prepared

Teachers play a crucial role in the successful introduction of blended learning across the curriculum. This research investigates teachers' reactions and performance and try to highlight the key factors that affect operation of blended learning in a community college. With a qualitative approach, this study intends to form a five-dimensional framework on the key factors affecting teachers' performance on blended learning, which includes college (or institutional) factors, curriculum factors, student factors, self-factors and technical factors. There are four specific elements for each factor, and thus 20 elements are involved in this framework. Finally, suggestions are put forward to promote teachers to introduce blended learning by analysis.
