Embedded switching technique in a realistic 28 GHz system

This paper aims to investigate the Bit Error Rate (BER) performances of the embedded switching technique under the assumption of non-perfect Channel State Information (CSI) knowledge using a Massive Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) pilot pattern in the 28 GHz band. It studies the BER performances of the embedded switching technique compared to diversity and spatial multiplexing. As a result, the embedded switching technique offers an improvement of 2.5 dB in the signal-to-noise ratio at BER=10

compared to spatial multiplexing and diversity under the assumption of non-perfect CSI knowledge. Moreover, it is robust against channel estimation errors.
