Incorporating the decision maker's preferences in Dietary Menu Planning problem

A Dynamic Goal Programming Diet Menu Plan (DGPDMP) model for patients undergoing Hemodialysis has previously been formulated and validated. The problem was validated and the obtained menus guarantees all the patient nutritional requirements. However, it is recommended that the decision maker (DM)(patient in accordance with the dietician guidelines) can deal with a model that consist of multiple and conflicting goals to be simultaneously pursued even if the objectives have different importance and can communicate the objectives' relative importance by determining a level of satisfaction in accordance to deviations associated to nutritional goals. The development of the Weighted DGPDMP model (WDGPDMP) is hereby presented in this work and we explicitly introduce the structure of the DM's preferences into the developed model.
