Performance evaluation by Simulation of Slotted AlohaCA Protocol for Wireless Sensor Network based on a single LEO Nanosatellite

In this article, we will evaluate by simulation the performance of the Slotted AlohaCA protocol in the case of Wireless Sensor Network based on a single LEO Nanosatellite and then we will compare it with the analytical results. The simulation tests were carried out by using the simulator NS 2. Two appropriate performance measures will be evaluated: Throughput and stability. In this article, we will focus on the validation of the analytical model of the Slotted AlohaCA Protocol with the main constraint of its spatial dynamic behavior that depends on the motion of the LEO Nanosatellite in its orbit. In this article, we will show that the 1-persistent mode of the Slotted AlohaCA Protocol is approaching to the analytical model than the non-persistent one.
