Sustainable Feasibility and Economic Viability for Renewable Power assisted Base Stations Vehicle-to-Telecom-Grid

Renewable energy powered technologies continue to revolutionize the energy supply. Arguably, the evolving 5G era would see an emerging surge in the power consumption by the telecom sector (i.e., 3 times the current 3% of the global energy). This could however create opportunities to deliver a cleaner, greener telecoms footprint. Indeed the nature of DC telecom load makes it technically feasible to adopt advances from the well-established sustainable electrical development. Features of the emerging V2G are yet to be deployed in the telecom scenario. This paper therefore investigates the sustainable feasibility and economic viability for renewable energy assisted base station. Novel vehicle to telecom-grid as new application to V2G is proposed.
