Compact Coupler Design on Striplines

The microwave device used for uniform distribution between the outputs of the power supplied to one of the inputs of the device is considered. The microwave device is based on a combination of low-pass filters tuned to different wave impedances and performing similar functions with segments with a length of λ/4. A comparison of the dimensions and characteristics of conventional and compact couplers implemented on microstrip lines and striplines in the Cadence AWR program is presented. A coupler whose dimensions are reduced by filters on striplines has an area of 174 mm₂(66% relative to a full-fledged coupler), and a coupler on microstrip lines has an area of 196 mm₂(68% relative to a full-fledged coupler).
