Numerical Thermal Analysis of the PCB Construction Impact

This research presents computer modeling and thermal simulations based on CFD for quantitative evaluation of temperature and diagnostics of critical fields with higher risk of malfunction in DC-DC converters. The impact of structural and technological factors on the board is assessed in the thermal analyses: the percentage of fillers, the thickness of the inner copper layers. Thermal analyses were performed at different ambient temperatures and extreme heat loads.
