Structural characterization of the YBa2Cu3Oσ superconductor with phases [σ=6.87,6.89 and 6.9] obtained by solid state reaction

The YBa
₂
Cu
₃
O
_σ
superconductor was obtained by solid-state reaction through thermal treatments without the need to use a controlled atmosphere composed of inert or reactive gas. To obtain the superconducting phases, oxygenation treatments were carried out, with the incorporation of oxygen from the open air atmosphere to the sample in periods of 6 hours. Through X-ray diffraction characterization, the YBa
₂
Cu
₃
O
_σ
superconducting phases were identified with [σ = 6.87, 6.89 and 6.9] in the sample. there was no presence of non-superconducting phases, nor elements not corresponding to stoichiometry. This was confirmed through Raman spectroscopy and SEM-EDS. The Meissner effect test was performed on the sample, allowing magnetic levitation to be observed, confirming the obtaining of the superconductor.
