Fractional order PI controlled Flyback converter with MPPT tracked PV system

In this paper, a mathematical model of a fractional-order flyback converter is established. As PV system output depends on the irradiance and temperature, fractional-order stability theory is applied to design the fractional-order PI(FOPI) controller in a flyback converter along with the Maximum power point tracking(MPPT) in the PV system. In PI parameters tuning, the dominant pole method is applied to design the fractional-order PI controller. Further, it can be concluded from the simulation results that the controller can efficiently improve the robust behavior of the converter through FOPI than conventional PI control, also despite changing the irradiance and temperature output voltage remains undisturbed. The control logic is applied to the converter and its simulations are proofread and verified in MATLAB.
