Performance Analysis of Cooperative Bidirectional Relay in Cognitive Radio Network with Energy Harvesting

In this paper, a bidirectional relay cooperation scheme in underlay cognitive radio network (CRN) is studied, in which two secondary users (SUs) nodes exchange information through bidirectional relay nodes with energy harvesting. Firstly, single-relay selection (SRS) and multi-relay selection (MRS) schemes are proposed to select the proper relays. The relay or relay set collect energy from the received signal and utilize it to forward information, which can significantly reduce the secondary transmission power and reduce the interference of the secondary network (SN) to the primary network (PN). Furthermore, the closed upper bound expressions of the secondary network outage probability in Rayleigh fading channel are derived by using the cumulative distribution function of the end-to-end SNR. Simulation results verify the analysis of outage performance. The proposed scheme has a higher throughput for the SN.
