A Broadband Flexible Strip-Slot Coupled Radiating Structure for Millimeter Applications

A group of broadband strip-slot radiating structures based on flexible liquid crystal polymer (LCP) are presented and analyzed. One of the designs realized a passband from 26.6GHz to over 40GHz. The proposed structures also have an omnidirectional radiation over +z hemisphere, and a complete ground plane to isolate from components and structures on the other side of the ground. The performance of the antenna when curved is also verified.
