Design and Development of Android Performance Testing Tool

With a growing number of mobile applications available at app stores and the improved capabilities of smartphones, people are downloading more applications in their devices. Moreover, the performance of the mobile is going down due to the usage of high amounts of mobile applications simultaneously. In order to improve the efficiency of the test stuff, in this paper, we have designed and developed a testing tool, which can directly run on Android client and monitor the application performance. Its main tasks include obtaining performance data, saving performance data, and feedback. There are many testing tools are available to test the performance, but in order to improve the efficiency there are less tools available in the market for performance tests. The app includes Emmagee, GT, and iTest. The performance testing tool PTT (Performance Testing Tool) designed in the paper is in more detail, including the strong, attractive user interface, accurate performance testing results with light in size for using on the Android Mobile Platform. Furthermore, during the testing of all performance tools found many different unknown and unique crashes. However, the designed proposed project is accurate in results and fulfill all the criteria according to the market proposed project needs.
