Implementation of Ultradense Wireless Sensor Networks to enable IoT Context Aware Environments

Summary: The advent of Smart Cities and Smart Regions rely in the communication and interaction capabilities of the sorrounding environment, with the aim of providing context awareness. The number of connected devices has been constantly growing, with forecasts indicating an increase within 1 to 2 orders of magnitude within the next decade. Operation and handling of such a vast amoung of wireless transceivers poses challenges in terms of interference handling, power consumption and cost reduction. In this presentation, the status and challenges within the desing, analysis and optimization of ultra dense wireless sentos networks will be presented. Different application will be presented, as well as an overview of the evolution in the technology trends to be followed.
