Resource Optimization Service Chain Composition and Deployment in IoT

The Internet of Things (IoT) plays an important role in our world. IoT services are usually deployed in edge devices, edge networks, and cloud networks. Recent researches tend to describe IoT services as service chains consisting of a set of sub-services. However, how to compose sub-services and how to deploy the service chain while optimizing resources in IoT has not been discussed. In this paper, we solve the service chain composition and deployment problem in IoT aiming at resource optimization. In detail, we propose a service composition algorithm to get an optimal service chain. We propose a deployment algorithm based on PageRank, to be deployed in the physical network IoT service chain. The evaluation showed that the program can effectively optimize resource consumption.
