Ambient Assisted Living Environment based on Blockchain for Elderly Care

In the context of an ageing population and increasing care costs we present a prototype for an ambient assisted living environment targeted towards elderly care. The system focuses on the integration of IoT and Blockchain technologies and how this integration can enable new care scenarios and ensure security. We present the design and implementation of the system and the validation using a casestudy approach, analyzing how the system behaves in relevant scenarios for ambient assisted living.
