Determination of the heat convection coefficient by CFD simulation of heat transfer processes at forced convection

The paper presents a methodology and results for the determination of the heat convection coefficient by three-dimensional CFD simulation. Heat transfer processes realized between the water flow and the internal surface of the pipes of the “water-air” convector have been simulated. The input data for achieving the simulations is on the base of the experimental data obtained by the reversible heat pump installation “water-water” type. Schematic diagram for determination of the cross-section temperature differences in the pipes, has been developed. Processes in “heating” and “cooling” installation's regimes have been investigated. The numerical model has been validated by comparison between experimental and simulation data. The average heat convection coefficient in the convector's pipes has been calculated by Newton-Richman^,s s law.
