Research and advances in vegetation management for power line corridor monitoring

In view of the green vegetation monitoring situation in the transmission line corridor, this paper expounds two problems, one is the risk management problem in the transmission line corridor, and the other is the analysis and practical test of vegetation monitoring technology. In this paper, the method of detecting vegetation in the corridor of transmission line by aerial photography and image recognition is proposed. The vegetation information in complex background can be extracted and identified by means of template comparison and graph segmentation. According to the field test, the method proposed in this paper has achieved good results, and there is a high accuracy in high-speed detection. The detection method can be applied to the transmission line monitoring using helicopter and drone.
