The Analysis and Predication of Energy Use in Smart Homes Based on Machine Learning

The development of Internet of Things and machine learning technology makes the realization of smart homes possible. It is conducive to saving energy and making people's lives more convenient. Data about the Internet of Things from Kaggle were used to analyze and predict energy use in smart homes, which includes various parameter values in the home environment. We predictd the users' power consumption to guide them to save electricity with the help of the machine learning model. This study proposes a scheme for forecasting household electricity consumption, which is further applicable to electricity consumption prediction of smart home systems with WIFI networking, regional and urban power grids. This achievement provides an idea for the application of smart home in the future.
