Performance Evaluation of Multi-Band Optical Networks Employing Distance-Adaptive Resource Allocation

We investigate the practical benefits of multi-band optical networks leveraging distance-adaptive resource allocation. Simulations clarify that the S+C+L-band scenario can successfully accommodate three times more traffic than a single-band scenario even on a large-scale network.
