Radiation Patterns of Two Coupled Impedance Monopoles Located on Metal Rectangular Screen

The 3D vector problem of diffraction of the fields of two coupled resonant impedance monopoles placed on an infinitely thin rectangular ideally conducting screen and oriented perpendicularly to it has been solved in frames of the method of the uniform geometric diffraction theory with using the asymptotic for the current in the impedance dipole. As model solution the analytical expression for the pattern of two impedance monopoles, placed on the infinite screen, is obtained and the normalized radiation patterns are analyzed vs. distances between the monopoles. For finite size rectangular screen the analysis of the patterns of total and diffracted fields was carried in the main observation planes and in whole space on the base of developed fast-active algorithm and software. The verification of the numerical results has been made using software Feko. The patterns are in a good agreement.
