Generator Loss Analysis and Comparison for 5MW Wind Turbine System

In this paper, a 5MW wind system, with a PMaSynRG as a generator, was analyzed. This paper analyzes the efficiency when using a 2level converter and 3level converter for a PMa-SynRG. According to the analysis results, it was found that when the 3level converter NPC type was used, the iron loss was found to be lower, in addition to the fact that the converter losses were lower.
