Study on The Current Situation and Problems of Green Finance Development in Guangdong

By comparing with Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu and other provinces and cities, this paper describes the characteristics of Guangdong's green finance development from six dimensions: green bond, green credit, green insurance, green securities, green investment and carbon finance. It finds that Guangdong's carbon finance has developed well and become the largest carbon trading market in China, but the development of green bond, green insurance and green finance are lagging behind. Guangdong's green financial products present the problems of unbalanced structure, imperfect mechanism of green financial system and unclear policy orientation. Finally, some suggestions are put forward to promote the development of Guangdong's green finance from the aspects of optimizing the cooperation mode of “government guidance and market mechanism” and playing a good combination of Guangdong's fiscal and financial policies.
