Communication Using Light Fidelity For Automated and Efficient Parking of Vehicles

The parking of vehicles often cause a lot of problem on the roads leading to traffic congestion. As a solution we have designed a system wherein each vehicle will have sets of solar panels present on the roof of the vehicles. The lamp post on the street will act as the zones under which the vehicle needs to get parked. Each of the lamp posts will act as an individual Li-Fi router which will emit a light signal of fixed frequency. In the morning an IR LED will be used to transmit the signal from the lamp post to the IR receiver panel present on the roof of the vehicle. At night the LED present on the lamp post itself will transmit the Li-Fi signal. This output signal will be detected by the solar panel on the roof of the vehicle. Whenever the output of the solar panel is detected to be a periodically fluctuating amplitude, the intelligent system infers it to be the signal coming from the nearest lamp post. The lamp post and the vehicle get paired and the driver is directed towards the lamp post or if the vehicle is an autonomous one then it automatically moves towards the parking spot. As soon as the vehicle settles at the parking spot, the lamp post stops emitting the light signal, instead it starts glowing at a constant DC voltage.
