Medical bio sensing of collagen gold nanoparticles conjugated to improve the dermis and joints

Integration of gold nanoparticles with proteins offers promising potential in medicine due to the creation of a wide variety of biosensors that possess both improved selectivity and sensibility. By coupling proteins with the unique optical properties of gold nanoparticles it can be realised a biosensor able to characterize small amounts of sample. Here we present gold nanoparticle - collagen conjugates deposited on a 3D printed substrate with application in human health. All the involved steps were characterized using UV-VIS Spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, Atomic Force Microscopy - AFM, Fluorescence spectroscopy and electrical testing. This research hope to be a start point for establishing the optimal concentrations and appropriate sizes of AuNPs- collagen conjugates that could have impact in the treatment of induced arthritis. Also, taken together, these results can be used in studying anti-glycation induced skin rejuvenation.
