Energetic Evaluation and Management of Low-Power Wireless Smart Transducers

Energy availability at wireless transducer nodes is an essential requirement to observe at the network development stage. Know the amount of energy that should be present at the transducer node, at a specific time, to perform a predefined task, will contribute to the understanding of how much efficient the energy management should be. Energetic evaluation of transducers, with different internal structures, allows to conclude about the requirements. An operating model to support network devices with energy restrictions is proposed and discussed. An experimental setup assesses the proposal's performance and how it contributes to improving energy efficiency at the transducer node.
