Capacitor Loaded Dual-band Flexible Antenna for ISM Band Applications

This paper presents the design and realization of a compact dual-band flexible antenna. The antenna geometry consists of serpentine shaped to achieve a compact size antenna and defected ground structure (DGS) was used to improve matching for the lower resonance band. Furthermore, an additional capacitor is loaded in the DGS to achieve the higher resonance band. The antenna geometry consists of simple structure and shows a compact size of 78mm × 40mm × 0.254mm, which correspond to 0.22λ

. To validate the design, an antenna prototype is fabricated, and a comparison of various performance parameters is presented in the manuscript.
