Numerical and Experimental Analysis of Non-Coaxial DCI-Excitations as HIRF-Replacement in Automotive Immunity Testing

The focus of this paper is on an S-parameter analysis of DCI setups intended for conducted immunity testing in an automotive context. Various non-coaxial excitation setups are presented and investigated with regard to their reflection and transmission coefficients. The latter are determined via numerical simulation in dependency on system parameters and compared to measurement results obtained from a scaled experimental setup.
