Methods of Experimental Research of Low Frequency Gas Dynamic Pulsations in Gas Guides of Power Plants

Low frequency gas dynamic pulsations are generated in gas guides of power plants during its operation. Such pulsations are especially significant for low-frequency sound and vibration generation and may cause significant negative impact to the power plants operation and durability as well as to the health of operators. Russian approaches of power plants (compressors and internal combustion engines) low frequency noise and vibration characteristic estimation are described. Russian standards, sanitary norms as well as personal author's methods are considered. Pipelines of power plants are having a number of intermediate supports and connected elements (coolers, receivers, separators, dampers etc.) as well as complex space configuration. Methods and approaches are suggested to take into consideration peculiarities of characteristics and operation of different types of power plants (compressors, internal combustion engines etc.). Constructive schemes of different vibration stands for imitation of vibration in power plants gas guides are developed. The most optimal constriction of vibration stand is selected. The results of primarily approbation are showing good coincidence of vibration characteristic received by using of vibration stand and of power plants pipelines in real conditions of exploitation.
