Long range oblique photography system

The purpose of this paper is to describe some operational and engineering aspects of a modern long range oblique photography (LOROP) system designed and built by ELOP. The system consists of an airborne segment mounted in a 300 gallon pod and a ground receiving station for imagery interpretation and data management. This paper compares three different aerial photography techniques, explains the optimal choice of the "whiskbroom" technique, and provides a system overview.
