Group Communication for Configurable Virtualized Sensors in Cyber-Physical Computing Environment

Great variety of sensors and actuators are organized in Internet of Thing (IoT). The Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP) is one protocol supporting resource constrained devices and easy integration with the TCP/IP standards. In this paper we present a novel approach and a new framework to use CoAP group communication to implement configurable virtualized Sensors in Cyber-Physical computing environment. Experiments show that the framework can supply the reliable communications in Cyber-Physical system, minimize the consumption of WSN as well. It offers an extremely high efficiency communication way for event-based message exchange application, and provides a customizable filtering mechanism for data sampling.
